Hello, and welcome to my site. Here is where I chronicle the chapters of my so-called new life in Annaville; although, it might not be of much deference to you. Yes, the name of the town is silly and dumb. Especially since part of my name is included in it, which I am sure is a subject of much ridicule.

Hello, Annaville!
Written on: Monday, November 10, 2008 Time: 7:24 AM
Usually, I'm a morning person, which is very different from most other people; whilst they are still reluctantly lifting their eyelids, I've already shot out of bed and brushing my teeth. The morning sun always makes me refreshed.
However, I've since moved to Annaville. Annaville is a small town where absolutely nobody comes by; there are no tourists or backpackers or whatnot, just a nice little small town life with a community. In actual fact, it's a suburb of New York, but nobody ever heads off to the suburbs.
In fact, I actually think that I'd be able to tolerate this place: you have your usual old little ladies drinking tea with hunchbacked postures; arrogant, boastful jocks who walk around with a blond in their arms; preppy little cheerleaders baring their navel and swinging their strawberry-scented hair in your face on purpose; and the others, who are just normal people.
The reason I've moved to Annaville is quite simple - my father was offered a job as a local police officer here, and though it may seem dumb to accept the offer to move from Seattle to a suburb, he did anyway for some odd reason that I might never comprehend.
But there's one thing that I think is absolutely unforgivable: my name is Anna Smith. How embarassing is it to have your name in the town you're living in? It's the same as being called "Illie" when you're in Illinois and "Chica" when you're in Chicago!
For that, I actually sulked for a few days in my room in the summer, during which we had actually moved here to "adjust to our newer surroundings".
Today was actually the first day of school at Annaville High School, and I attended as a Junior. The school was what I expected, pretty average/typical/normal, but there were a few people who stood out in my mind:
- Brenda Simmons: The cheerleader of our high school; she was typical cheerleader, with long blonde hair and big blue eyes; but despite her bright appearance, she's actually pretty quiet and keeps to herself. She has a wide circle of friends which all surround her, and those include admirers, suitors and followers alike.
- Dan Grey: The captain of the soccer team at Annaville, and also dating Brenda Simmons; he also seems to be the Captain Bully, since he poked fun at my name and I also caught him strolling out of the boys' bathroom looking satisfied after I heard a "plunk" which sounded oddly like a head clashing with a toilet bowl.
- George Humphrey: The symbol of the Annaville Geek Society, George is frowned upon by most of the school. He wears inhumanly thick glasses and his face is sprinkled with freckles. He also towers high above the rest of the cohort, even taller than Dan Grey, which is a remarkable feat. He mostly hangs around his cronies from the Computer Club, but sometimes disappears.
- Emma Birch: A quiet, shy girl; she seemed nice when I talked to her this morning. She seems to be ignored and not looked at by the rest of the Junior class, since she neither gets the pranks nor the praises. However, I don't really think she minds, as she looks content by herself.
- Jessie Milfred: The head of the Book Club at Annaville. She's actually quite pretty behind her glasses, but she refuses to take them off. Not that I encourage her to, though. She reads a wide variety of books and is also the Vice-President of the Journalism Society, which controls the weekly Annaville Times.
- Chace Bennett: A tall boy, though not quite as tall as George; he is the President of the Journalism Society and also the Editor of the Annaville Times, so if I want to be in the paper, which I do, I should approach him. He is also seen to be good friends with Jessie Milfred, and I can tell that she fancies him, but why aren't they together yet?
Now, why are you so interested in these people, you ask?
I enjoy scandal and gossip; just like a Private Investigator. Though these people might look the same, they're just the same underneath those innumerable layers of clothing.
Yours always, Anna

About me
My name is Anna Smith, and I have recently moved from Texas to Annaville. At sixteen, anything can happen in a dramatic high school with over-exaggerated characters; coupled with a girl with a big mouth and fingers itching to type out words (namely, me) you've got yourself a blog.
